The Sharing Place has requested personal care items: tooth brushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toilet paper, feminine products, combs, and brushes. for the month of April. You may bring your donations of any of the above items to our 24 hour chapel, and leave them in our 'red wagon'. We ensure that these items are delivered to the Sharing Place, as we continue our partnership with them.
Easter Day – April 4th at 8:00 and 10:00 A.M. This day is the primal feast of the Church, which celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Faith in Jesus’ resurrection on the third day following his crucifixion is foundational to the Christina faith. Easter combines the beginning of springtime with the ancient stories of deliverance and the proclamation of the risen Christ. Good Friday – April 2nd at 12:00 P.M. The Liturgy for Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus. The service includes John’s account of the Passion Gospel, followed by a series of intercessions known as solemn collects. Veneration of the Cross will follow, allowing worshippers to come forward and offer silent prayer before the large cross. Maundy Thursday – April 1st at 7:00 P.M. The name “Maundy” comes from the Latin “mandatum novum,” meaning “new commandment”, a reference from John 13:34. The ceremony of footwashing and the commemoration of the institution of the eucharist at the Last Supper by Jesus are the main foci of this service. Palm Sunday/Sunday of the Passion – March 28th at 10:00 A.M. The Liturgy of the Palms, which begins the service, marks the occasion when Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey with the people waving branches of palms. Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week and it is also known as the Sunday of the Passion. After the 10:00 AM Easter morning service, on April 4,, Church of the Nativity will have an Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 years old and younger. It will be outdoors in the garden/playground area. Meet in the Parish Hall at the conclusion of the service. A mask is required. . Nativity will provide special bags in which to collect eggs.
