Hospitality
“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it” (Heb. 13:2).

Hospitality was a central virtue of the early church, as it was of ancient Judaism. God commands God’s people to offer hospitality to other members of the church, and to strangers. The Hospitality Team exists to ensure that Nativity fulfills its obligation to offer warm hospitality to visitors, outside rental groups, and to the entire family of faith. There are opportunities to monitor and coordinate logistics for the Sunday coffee hour, greeting visitors at Sunday services, and staffing events when outside groups use the parish facilities. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please contact us.

The Care Team
The Care Team’s mission can be summed up as: “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).
The Care Team incorporates the Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEV), the Prayer Team, and the Support Team. LEVs are licensed by the
diocese to take communion to those not able to attend the eucharist in person. The Prayer Team ministry has been restarted from the old Nativity prayer chain. It’s members commit to prayer for all on the prayer list. The Support Team is a new practice committed to help parishioners who are temporarily homebound and may need emotional or physical support. It is important to note the support offered is dependent on volunteer resources, talent, and commitment and will be evaluated periodically for effectiveness. If you are interested in joining the Care Team, please contact us.
