On October 4, 2020, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Nativity opened a Pet Food Pantry for those with pets who find themselves struggling to feed their pet due to financial hardship. Particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nativity felt there was an urgent need to provide support for those who might consider surrendering their pet to a shelter. We recognize that pets provide solace during a stressful time, and that surrendering a pet to shelter is traumatic for the family and the pet.
DONATIONS
Our pantry depends on the generosity of others. We graciously accept donations of dry cat and dog food, and kitty litter! ALL donations are accepted, whether you attend our church or not. We would be blessed to receive donations either by dropping them off at our church at anytime (our 24 hour chapel is always open, and is checked daily), or during The Stable's open hours. We welcome shipments from Chewy, Amazon, Target, or other on-line services. One can access "Wish-Lists" that appear on Amazon and Target. They can be shipped to The Stable at Church of the Nativity-Episcopal, 7300 Lantern Road, Indianapolis, IN 46256.
VOLUNTEERS
The Stable is operated by volunteers and is an extension of Nativity's Outreach Ministry. Volunteers must be at least 8 years of age, and accompanied by a parent. This is a wonderful opportunity for families with children to give back to others.

LOCATION and HOURS
The Stable is open the second Saturday of every month from 10 am-12:30 pm.. It is located in the the trailer adjacent to our church at 7300 Lantern Road, Indianapolis, IN 46256. Dry dog food, dry cat food, and kitty litter are available free of charge. A vet tech is also available for gland expression, ear cleaning, and nail clipping. A goodwill offering is appreciated, but not necessary.
